Improving Parking
Our Modern Vision for Stonewood includes approaching the issue of parking in our association in three steps: Survey, Collaborate, and Implement. Before we start brainstorming and evaluating possible solutions we need to conduct a survey to give us the data we need to understand the problem. A good survey will tell us how many total parking spaces we have in guest parking and on the street, and identify individual parking needs of our residents. We also need to estimate the need for guests to park and how many of our street parking spaces typically are taken by people who live just outside Stonewood.
With this data in hand we can begin a process of soliciting all of the possible solutions with input from our entire community. Along the way we need to create a space for members and tenants to weigh in on the question of whether or not we are prepared to spend money to improve the parking situation, and if so, how much we are willing to spend.
Once we have clarified as a community the level of priority we are willing to give this issue and our best solutions are out in the public space, we can choose a course of action that works for the whole association.
